Joseph Cause 88, passed away on Feb. 11, 2014. He was born on March 22, 1925 in Boston, MA to Joseph and Crocefisa Cause. Joe married Anna Causi on Oct. 27, 1946 in Massachusetts.
Joe, the son of Italian immigrants, grew up in Massachusetts until serving in World War II as a munitions/supply truck driver in battles occurring in the Rhineland and throughout Central Europe. In addition to participating in the Battle of the Bulge, Joe earned the Good Conduct Medal, the American Theater Campaign Ribbon, the European/African/Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, and he Victory Medal.
After being honorably discharged, Joe and Anna (Ann) married. While in Massachusetts, a son, Joseph, and a daughter, Christine, were born. After many years as a tile setter on the east coast, Joe and the family moved to CA. permanently in the 1950s. Finally settling in Gardena, another son, Michael was born.
Joe had worked in the tile industry for 42 years when Ann and he retired to Lake Havasu City in 1991. Upon the death of Joe's beloved wife, Ann, in 2009, he returned to CA.
Joe loved fishing, boating, camping, and traveling. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Joe is survived by his son Joseph Cause of Sao Paulo, Brazil,son Michael Cause of Camarillo, Ca. and daughter Christine Giuffre of Lompoc, Ca. Joe also had the joy of four grandchildren, Tatiana de Lima-Cause, Angelica Giuffre, Cameron and Brooke Cause, and one great-grandson, Antero Giuffre Marrero.
