Joseph Castoro

Joseph N. Castoro, beloved husband and father, passed away quickly and peacefully at home on Jan 14, 2013. Joe, or Chip as his family called him, was born in Jackson Heights, NY on Jan 15, 1924, the third of five children born to Rocco and Grace Castoro. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WW II. Joe met Louise Craig in 1949 and the 2 were married in June of 1951 and had 2 children, Cecilia and Joseph Jr. After working in the family business for many years Joe joined the company of Houbigant, Inc. where he was the executive chauffeur for the owner and CEO for 25 years. The family lived in New York until 2003 when he and wife, Louise and daughter, Cecilia, relocated to Camarillo, Ca. Joe is survived by his daughter, Cecilia Castoro of Camarillo and his sister, Marie Castoro still living in New York. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation in his name to the charity of your choice. A vigil will be held on Thursday, January 17th at 7pm located at the Perez Family Funeral Home Chapel, 1347 Del Norte Road in Camarillo. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 18th at 10am located at the St Mary Magdalen Church (corner of Las Posas and Crestview). Burial will follow at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park in Camarillo.
