Joseph Avendaño

Born on September 19, 1945, it is with heavy hearts we write to inform you of the passing of Joseph Avendaño on March 15, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents, David H. Avendaño and Feliza Avendaño, and his siblings Rudy, Dora, and David Avendaño. Joe was 79 at the time of his passing; he is survived by his wife, Annie Avendaño, his brother Raul Avendaño, children Jolynn, Richard, Erin, Rebecca, and Joseph, his 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, and camping in his free time, his favorite camping site was Grant Lake, California, where he enjoyed teaching his grandkids how to fish. Joe spent over 50 years as a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, where he learned to master his career in carpentry. The family invites you to his rosary at 6 pm at the Perez Family Funeral home in Fillmore, CA, on March 26, 2025. His mass will be held at 10:30 am on March 27, 2025, at Saint Francis of Assisi church in Fillmore, CA.
