Joseph Anthony Alonzo Jr.

September 8, 1969 — March 24, 2025

Our beloved Joe — a man of deep faith, boundless love, and a spirit that brightened the lives of those around him. His solid devotion to God guided him through life, shaping him into a devoted father, a cherished son, a loving brother, and a true friend.

Born and raised in Oxnard, CA, to Limbania and Joseph Alonzo, Joe was a cherished brother to Bonnie Toland, Sophia Alonzo Limon, and brother-in-law to Elliot Limon. In Heaven, he reunites with his brother, Angel Alonzo, grandmother Mary Figueroa Alonzo, grandmother Limbania G. Arredondo, grandfather Antonio Alonzo, and Brooklyn’s mother, Seasun Suzanne Baker. His legacy lives on through his beautiful children, Sandra Alonzo, Michael Alonzo, Danielle Walker, and Brooklyn Alonzo— whose lives are the greatest gifts of all.

Joe was a true testimony of faith. He fought many battles throughout his life—some seen, many unseen—and even in his lowest moments, he never stopped trusting in God. His unwavering faith carried him through every trial. No matter the challenge, Joe gave glory to God for everything he had, and his life was a living example of grace, strength, and perseverance.

We hold onto the vibrant, joyful spirit that defined Joe. He lived for the moment—fearless, curious, and full of life. His vivid imagination, eagerness to learn, and love for trying new things made every day feel like an adventure.

He also had a true love for food—whether it was a home-cooked meal, trying something new, or sharing his favorite snacks with those he loved. Meals weren’t just about eating to Joe—they were about enjoying life, bringing people together, and savoring the moment. His eyes would light up at the sight of a good plate, and he always knew how to make even the simplest meal feel like a celebration.

Music was another constant in Joe’s life. It wasn’t just background noise—it was his rhythm, his expression, and often his joy. From blasting his favorite songs in the car to sharing tracks with friends and family, Joe found comfort and connection in every beat. Music lifted his spirit and was a soundtrack to both his best days and the battles he faced. Wherever he went, the music followed—loud, proud, and full of soul.

Joe’s generosity and encouragement affected everyone around him. He was always lifting others up, offering advice, laughter, or a helping hand. He was known for his legendary storytelling, jokes, and quick wit—a natural light who brought humor and comfort wherever he went. His presence was charismatic, his laugh contagious, and his heart endlessly kind.

His dreams were never just for himself—he rooted for others fiercely and was always ready to celebrate their wins as if they were his own. Joe’s kindness, strength, and faith will forever be remembered, cherished, and honored.

To celebrate his life, we invite you to share your favorite stories of Joe—let his name be spoken with laughter and love, just as he would have wanted.

Though he is no longer with us, Joe’s spirit lives on in every life he touched. His love, his laughter, and his unshakable faith continue to guide and inspire us.

Rest in peace, Joe Joe. You are deeply so loved and will always be missed and never be forgotten.

And when you hear someone bumping loud music down the street, smile and think of Joe—cruising with his favorite tunes, reminding us to live loud, love deeply, and never miss a beat.
