Jesus Mendez Mejia

January 13, 1972 — September 5, 2023

Oxnard, CA

A father, husband, and brother, Jose Jesus Mendez Mejia, or as many knew him, El Chino, was born on January 13, 1972, to Teresa and Santos Mendez Mejia in Cotija, Michoacán. He moved to California to pursue the American Dream, where he met his wife Rosalinda Arevalo and became a father to Dario, Sara, and Santos. Jesus was a simple man who measured life not by the materials one possessed but by the morals and characteristics one lived by. He knew how to love what was important. He was always so proud of his family and absolutely loved to get a hug. He put everything back into the family as best as he knew how. Jesus passed away peacefully on September 5, 2023 with his family by his side and has joined those who have gone before us and lives with eternal love and leaves behind the example of how strong, hardworking, and caring we should strive for. . .Thank you for sharing your wisdom and your loving heart with us. We miss and love you. Jesus leaves behind his wife, children, siblings, nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
