Jose & Leticia Lopez

d. July 6, 2012

Leticia Lopez, our beloved mother, grandmother, and best friend took her last breath on Friday, July 6, 2012. She was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco on May 11, 1948 to Rito Garcia and Macaria Lopez and lived in Santa Barbara and Oxnard, California. She married Jose A. Lopez on October 21, 1978 in Santa Barbara, California. Our mom was everything to us, she was the core that kept us together. She guided and supported all her children and grandchildren at birthday parties, school events, sporting events, or any other event that included spending time with her family. She taught us to be strong independent individuals. She always had encouraging words and advice. Some of her favorite sayings were, “Has un bien y no te fijes en quien,” and “Si Dios quiere.” Mom loved to garden, cook, play with her pets, and most especially spend time with her kids and grandchildren. She enjoyed travelling with her family to Disneyland, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Mexico. Mom was preceded in death by her husband Jose “Pepe” Lopez. She is survived by her children, Marco Uriarte, Alma Uriarte, Norma Uriarte, Miguel Uriarte, Sergio Lopez, Cindy Razo, and Lisa Lopez; her sisters, Esperanza Rodriguez, Rosalva Lopez; her brothers, Roberto Hernandez, Francisco Lopez; and her mother, Macaria “Cayita” Lopez. She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and beloved friends. Mom you fought a valiant fight against cancer. We know you never gave up. You will never be forgotten. We love you! Celebration of Life 1:00pm, Friday, July 20, 2012 Perez Family Chapel 1347 Del Norte Road Camarillo, CA 93010
