Johnny Patrick Jimenez, beloved father, grandfather and brother passed away on October 31, 2023 with his two beloved daughters, April Hope & Jooley Pena by his side.
Johnny was born to John and Jane Jimenez on St. Patrick’s Day March 17, 1945 in Santa Paula, Ca.
He led a very happy active life with his brothers, sisters, and friends. He loved going to dances as he was a great dancer and enjoyed going to the beach.
In the fall of 1964, he attended barber school in Los Angeles, Ca. During this time he met and married Gail Estrada. They had two daughters April and Jooley.
Johnny and his brother Frank Jimenez graduated barber school in Los Angeles and brought their craft back to Ventura, where they opened FJ Hair Salon and it was touted in the paper as the very first hair salon in Ventura.
This salon was in business over 55+ years and probably all of Ventura can claim that either Johnny or Frank gave them or their sons their first haircut.
He was one of the funnest humans you’d ever meet, and loved very hard and was loved by so, so many.
He was the best dancer, best dresser and best story teller you’d ever find. His soul and spirit was nothing less than magical. He traveled to many destinations. He enjoyed vacationing in Paris, France, Palm Springs, California, New York, NY & . Enjoyed Puerto Vallarta for Thanksgiving holidays with family.
His all time favorite place was Las Vegas, Nevada.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother John and Jane Jimenez. Brothers Richard Jimenez and Rudy Jimenez. Sisters Rachel Jimenez and Margie Jimenez
He is survived by his daughters and grandchildren: April Hope, daughter and granddaughter Paris Hope, Jooley Pena daughter and grandsons Mason Pena and Jagger Pena and son-in-law Greg Pena. His brothers Frank Jimenez (wife Linda) , Gary Jimenez (wife, Julie), Gilbert Jimenez, Robert Jimenez and his sisters: Ellen Lopez (husband, Johnny Lopez) and Lori Dock , his longtime companion, Kathrine Heinzman, and many nieces, nephews and friends
Johnny will be missed every day by those who love him. He will never, ever be forgotten… and can never, ever be replaced
