Johnny Carrillo

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, Johnny Carrillo. He passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 18th He was born on September 5th 1948 in Gilroy, CA. He was 66 years old. Johnny is survived by his sisters, Helen Banaga, Simi Valley, CA, Carmen Aguilar, Simi Valley, CA and Mary-Anne Reyes, Grants Pass, OR. He also leaves behind his partner Joey Purkciser of 8 years and a very special niece (like a daughter) Julie Martinez. He will be deeply missed by many other nieces & nephews and cousins, as well as his friends and neighbors in his Oxnard apartment complex. He was preceded in death by his mother Felipa and his father Luis, brothers Lupe and Sammie and sister Esther. Graduated high school & Cosmetology school. His occupation was a hair stylist and caregiver. Johnny was always ready to help someone and share his love of bible scriptures. He loved to cook, sing along with music and dance, was always ready for a good time with friends and family. Someone you could really talk to. Always very caring and giving. He will be greatly missed! Do something good in this life, as tribute to Johnny! A Celebration of Our Brother Johnny’s Life will be Friday, January 30th at 5:00 p.m. located at 1347 Del Norte Rd Camarillo, CA. There will be lite refreshments served immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, any donations will be greatly appreciated.
