John Alan Campos , 59, went home to the Lord on September 22, 2015. He was born on September 2, 1956 in Ventura County, California where he became a life-long resident. He attended Buena High School, graduating in 1974, and immediately following, joined the Marine Corps. After completing his service, John met the love of his life, Kathryn Pillado, whom he married and had four children. John enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. His love for the outdoors was fulfilled through camping trips, hikes, and sitting at the beach. John loved to dance. Anytime he heard music he would jump up and grab the first person he found. John was our “Builder Bob”, always willing to build or fix things, and he was always willing to lend a hand to help others. John recently retired after 30 years of service to take more time to himself and enjoy his family and relaxation. He will be greatly missed but we are all so grateful to hold his memories in our hearts.
John is preceded in death by his mother, Jolyene Wilson; brothers, Paul and James Campos; sister, Debra Campos; and son, John Alan Campos, II.
John is survived by his father, John P. Campos; children, Jay and Cindy Campos, Aaron Campos, Leisa Campos, and Matthew and Jeanine (Campos) Nicholson; and grandchildren, Andy, Janelle, Savannah, A.J., Dylan, Jolene, and Brooklyn.
