Jodie Lynn Jewett
October 17, 1973 - February 2, 2013
Jodie L. Jewett was an amazing strong minded woman, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt who passed away at home with family at her side.
Jodie was accomplished academically with honors. She enjoyed the outdoors, loved camping in the desert and riding motorcycles with family and good friends. Jodie will always be admired and remembered for her strong will, stout courage and determination in life as well as to overcome her illness.
Jodie is survived and will be deeply missed by a devoted, loving husband and best friend, Jim Jewett; sons, James “J.T.,” Landen “Bubbas”; her father, Richard H. Koontz; her mother, Linda J. Forster; brother, Rick A. Koontz “Uncle”; stepparents, Les Forster, Pat Koontz; and many special stepbrothers and step sisters who gave their unconditional love and support in Jodie’s time of need.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Carol McCormick of Livingston Memorial Hospice/Palliative Care and associates for their undaunted care to ensure Jodie’s comfort in her passing. Also, we want to thank all the friends, neighbors and the community for their unwavering contributions to the Jewett Family.
Jodie will be truly missed, never forgotten and always in all of our hearts. A vigil for Jodie will be Friday, Feb. 8, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Perez Family Funeral Home located at 1347 Del Norte Road, in Camarillo, 983-3457. Funeral service will be Saturday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m. at The Ojai Community Church, 907 El Centro in Ojai. Assisting the family with funeral arrangements is the Perez Family Funeral Home.
