Jennifer Flores

Jennifer Ann Flores (42) of Camarillo passed away surrounded by family the evening of September 8, 2023 after a 10-month battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She was born on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1981 in Ventura.

She attended schools in Oxnard and Camarillo, graduating from Rio Mesa High School in 1999. She also attended Ventura College and Cal State University Channel Islands. She enjoyed spending time with her daughters and being involved with their activities. Some of her favorites included being a Dance Mom at MacKinnon Dance Academy, Seaside of Oxnard Girls Fastpitch Softball, Oxnard Knights Cheerleading and serving as a Board Member on the Camarillo Girls Softball Association.  Jennifer also enjoyed taking her daughters on traveling adventures to Europe, New Orleans, a Disney Cruise to Mexico, Disney World and National Parks.  She had many fond memories of camping trips to Lake Nacimiento and Yosemite with extended family and friends.  She was always willing to lend a hand to family and friends in need, especially babysitting. She loved babies and was fondly known as the “Baby Whisperer.”

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her Aunt and Godmother, Jessie Nava, for her loving assistance in helping care for Jennifer in her final days.

She is survived by her daughters, Emilee Jade Garcia (19), Hailee Jordan Garcia (16), parents Armando and Linda Flores, brother David Flores and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is predeceased by maternal grandparents, Gilbert and Ruth Gonzales, paternal grandparents Ignacio and Jennie Flores, and uncle Michael Gonzales.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 25 N. Las Posas Road, Camarillo, CA.  Interment immediately following at Santa Clara Cemetery, 2370 N. “H” Street, Oxnard, CA.
