Jennie Kathleen Stine

Jennie Kathleen (Mason) Stine passed away on January 30, 2012 at the age of 69. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye, but we know she is pain free and with our Heavenly Father. She was a devout Christian lady that loved the Lord. Kathy fought a courageous battle with breast cancer for over 6 years.
She was born in Independence, Mo. on February 15, 1942 to George and Lillian (Bone) Mason. At the age of 13 she moved to Grandview, MO. where she graduated from Grandview High School in 1960. She loved to play the violin and worked on the school newspaper. After graduation she started working for the Gas Service Co., to save for college. She attended Missouri State College in Warrensburg for one year then returned to work for the Gas Co. While working there she meet her future husband Ken Stine, and they were married on November 20, 1967. They started their family and lived in the Kansas City area until 1977, where she was an active member of Sunset Hills Christian Church. She and her family moved to California and settled in Camarillo in 1978. She worked for the County Schools in the area, working with various children and some with special needs retiring in 2005. She loved her family, working with children, writing funny scripts for women retreats, and creating puppet programs for public and vacation bible school. Her church family was very dear to her. She was an active member of Camarillo Christian Church for over 33 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Margaret Bracken, Lillian Blankenship, sister-in-law Margaret Ann Mason, brother-in-laws Ray Bracken, Jim Blankenship, John Ottenbacher, and niece Cindy Mason.
She is survived by her beloved husband Kenneth of 44 years, sons Michael, Matthew, daughter-in-law Alisa, grandchildren Madison, Danika, Cayden & Kinsley all of Camarillo. Brother George Mason of Bellingham, WA., in-laws Paul & Inga Stine of Carpinteria, CA., Harold & Nancy Siegenhagen, and Judy Ottenbacher of Madras, OR. as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Camarillo Christian Church 1777 Arneill Road Camarillo, CA. on Saturday February 11, 2012 at 1:30 PM. Officiated by Dr. Neil Kuns.
