Jennie Rocca Klosky Petterstown, Elizabeth-New Jersey Camarillo, Ca June 24,1925 to June 20, 2010 Dear Nonna, I want to thank you for loving my Grandpa. For taking a chance in California. For not going back to New Jersey when Grandpa passed. For helping me raise my children like they were your own. For teaching me to make the right choice and forgive the past. For showing me "Family" is strong even in small numbers. For showing me Sicilians are NOT as stubborn as Calabrese. Thank you for spoiling Shanon, Ariel, Brandon and Chloe. They never went without when you were here. Thank you for being the toilet paper fairy. Thank you most for being my Mother, Grandmother and friend. Being there when I needed you. Thank you for always loving us unconditionally. Bella Ciao, Jeanine Nonna, I always thought that it was so inspiring that you and Grandpa found love later on in life. You two were so cute together! After Grandpa was gone you dedicated so much to our family. You were always there for us and we all loved you and hope you knew how much we appreciated you. I will always miss you and always remember what great care you took of all of us. Love Shanon Dear Nonna, I want to let you know how thankful I am that you married my great grandpa and became such a huge part in my life. Ever since I was a baby you were always there, whether it was to watch me when Mom went to work on Saturdays, or to come get me from school when I faked being sick. I knew you would always come get me even if Mom said no. Thank you for the million “Barbies” you bought me to make me feel better and for making me “Spaghetti O’s” even though you thought they were disgusting. Thank you for all the time you spent with me when you taught me how to knit and watched “I Love Lucy” with me. I will always fondly remember all the sleep overs we had and how I would watch you do crossword puzzles while I would eat my colored marshmallows…that’s what your kitchen cabinets always smelled like. You would constantly make jokes about how us Sicilians are so stubborn, but I can honestly say I think you are equally as stubborn. =) Even though you’re no longer here physically, I know your still here for me no matter what… even when I fake being sick. I love you Nonna. Always & Forever. Ariel Dear Nonna, Thank you for all the soda, animal cookies and pringles my heart could desire.Thank you for playing ball with me and pretending to miss it. Thank you for letting me climb on the piano and write on the walls even though you knew it was naughty.
