On August 11, 2015, Janice Liebnau passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones. Janice was born on September 18, 1932 in Toledo, Ohio to Muriel Killian and Walter Liebnau. She was married to John Rush from 1950 to 1977. In 1960, they settled in Camarillo, California, where they raised their four children. She was baptized a Lutheran and, after moving to Ventura County, became a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church. In 1979, she graduated from UCSB with a degree in Liberal Arts. She took art classes over the years and became an accomplished Artist in oil painting. Her other interests included growing roses, bird watching, photography, writing, genealogy, history, traveling abroad, and folk dancing. She loved spending time with her family and friends, walking her dog, Chauncy, watching sunsets, listening to music, especially Mozart, Andrea Bocelli and Dave Brubeck, going to the movies, and she was a Dodger and Laker’s fan. Janice is survived by her four children: Lesley Rauschenberger, Kurt Rush, Linda Rush, and Karl Rush; and seven grandchildren: Bryan Rauschenberger, Lisa Ferch, John Rush, Kyle Rush, Alise Favacho, Alex Favacho, and Sarah Rush. On Sunday, August 30, 2015, from noon until 3 pm a celebration of life reception will be held at the home of Linda Rush at 2878 Sierra Drive, Westlake Village. The family welcomes all of her friends to come.
