Janet Mae Walker

Janet Mae Walker, age 91 passed away 8-28-11 at home surrounded by her family. She was born 8-2-1920 in Los Angeles, to Frank and Ruby Walshe. She was married to Howard Walker for 70 wonderful years. Janet was raised in the Los Angeles area. She was an artist and loved to paint in oils. She loved the beach, the water and waves. She always talked fondly of her younger days spent at the beach in Malibu with her sister Dee. Janet attended 2 years of design college. She painted Franciscan ware for 12 years. She designed many dresses and formal wear for family and friends. She is survived by her husband Howard Walker of Ventura. Her son Brad Walker ( Judy) of Ventura. Her daughter Carol Ann Swangler (Ed) and five generations of family. She is preceded in death by her youngest son, Bryan Walker and her younger sister Dee Ritter.
