Jaime Santiago San Luis, also known as "Boyok" of Oxnard, CA peacefully passed away on August 18, 2013 at the age of 66 after over five years of battle with lung cancer. He was born on November 19, 1946 in Marilao, Bulacan, Philippines. He immigrated to California in 1990. Jaime loved to sing, play mahjong, and tell jokes. He enjoyed fishing, carpentry, and entertain for family and friends. He was a loving, thoughtful and religious person and well-loved by his wife and children, classmates, relatives and friends.
Jaime is survived by his loving wife, Brigida; children, Analiza, Darwin (spouse Louie Subido), Robert (spouse Corey Tuttle) and Lou James (girlfriend Sandy); grandchildren Gellie (spouse Carl Adrian), Jimboy (girlfriend Erika) & Christian; and great-granddaughter Anica. He is also survived by his mother, Bienvenida; siblings, Nenette Calaunan (spouse Tony) and Marissa Calaunan (spouse Edson). He was preceded in death by his father Eugenio, his brother Teodorico, and his sister Myra.
Vigil was held at Perez Family Funeral Home located at 1347 Del Norte Road, Camarillo, CA on August 20, 2013 from 4:00PM to 9:00PM. Funeral liturgy was held on August 21, 2013 at 9:00 AM at Mary Star of The Sea Parish, 463 W. Pleasant Valley Rd. , Oxnard, CA 93033 after which, he was laid to rest at Ivy Lawn Cemetery in Ventura, CA. (Section K, Lot 621, Grave 4).
