Jaime Barrera entered into eternal peace on Friday, December 10, 2021 surrounded by family. Jaime was 59 years old. Jaime was born on July 8, 1962 to Rigoberto and Velia Barrera and was the eldest of 8 children. He was a lifelong Moorpark resident and attended Moorpark schools. A hard working man, Jaime worked as a journeyman, framer and form setter for 15 years before becoming a Sheriff’s Service Technician with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office. He dedicated 25 years to the agency. Jaime enjoyed the outdoors and spent much of his free time fishing, camping and boating with family and friends. Jaime was preceded in death by his sister Dolores in 1973 and brother David in 2021. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Mary and his three children; Jaime (Deanna), Brittani (Thomas), and Richard (Melanie), his parents Rigoberto and Velia Barrera; brothers, Paul (Melanie), Michael, Javier (Diana); sisters Maria and Rosanna (Sergio) and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives who will miss him dearly. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 12-8 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 6pm at the Perez Family Funeral Home in Camarillo. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am, Friday, January 7, 2022 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Moorpark.
