Isabel P. Hernandez “Chavie” entered the gates of heaven on July 1, 2012 at the age of 75.
Isabel was born on November 20th, 1936 in Moorpark, Ca to Primo and Carmen Perez. She was born and raised in Moorpark, Ca.
Our mom attended school in Moorpark and retired at the age of 74 after many years of hard work.
Mom brought beauty, love, and laughter to all who knew her. She was a caring and loving mom and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and friends. Our mom always put time and effort in supporting all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in countless birthday parties, sporting events, and many other milestones. She loved to watch her novelas and talk on the phone for hours with her daughters.
Mom constantly expressed her love with her presence and words of encouragement. She was the core of our family.
Our mom was a devoted Christian of Victory Outreach Church of Simi Valley where she served as an usher and was involved in the Golden Vessel and Prayer ministries.
Isabel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Martin Hernandez Jr., and sister Frances “Pancha” Garcia.
Isabel is survived by daughters Bertha (Mark) Maggio, Yolanda (Ruben) Rodriguez, Cindy (Steve) Romo, and Deborah Hernandez, sisters, Alice Chavez, Genevieve Gomez, and brother Rudy Perez. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 2 godsons, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mom was a strong, positive, women of faith and dignity. Her legacy of strength, love, and faith will be carried on by her family.
