Irene Casas

Irene Casas (Nene), resident of Fillmore, passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on Aug. 16, 2010. Irene was born to Rafael and Maria Villanueva Jan. 11, 1934 in the original Rancho Sespe in Fillmore. Widowed to Santiago "Jimmy" Casas, she was raised in Fillmore, graduated from Fillmore High School class of 1952. Irene worked for 35 years at Saticoy Lemon Packing house. She loved to cook, listen to music and play musical instruments. Irene is survived by her daughter, Yolanda Erazo of Fillmore; grandchildren, Breeza Erazo and Jimmy Erazo; great-granddaughter, Bella Star; her sister, Lupe Vasquez of Ventura; and her brother, Robert Villanueva of Oxnard. She always had a smile on her face and will be loved and missed.
