Hortensia Olivas Oxnard, Ca On January 29th, 2013 our Lord called our Mother Hortensia Olivas to join him in paradise. She will be greeted by her husband Fred Olivas, her Parents Cornelio and Cornelia Majeno, brothers Froylan, Simon, Max, Robert, and sister Caroline, daughters Patricia, Lila rose and Caroline. And great grandson Tadhg Hortensia was a loving mother and homemaker. Raised in Oxnard, she attended Wilson Elementary school. She was employed at the Oxnard Fish Cannery. She enjoyed dancing, being outside at the beach and bar-b-ques. During her retirement she was an avid bingo player. She is survived by her Sons Louis Torres, Raymond Olivas, Robert Olivas , daughters Freda Rivera and husband Jess Rivera all of Oxnard, Charity Balch and Husband Kevin Balch of Missouri. Loving Brother Catarino Majeno of Ventura. 13 grandchildren: Rachel Torres, Mary Louise Torres, Arlene Torres, Yvette Ruiz, Yvonne Ruiz, Gus Ruiz, Lupe Casas, JoAnne Alvarado, Clarissa Agulaira, Joseph Rivera, Raymond Olivas Jr, Robert Olivas Jr, Rochelle Breslin, and Steven Breslin. 34 great grandchildren: Cheyenne, Rhiannon, Alexender, Phillip, Raymond, Steven, Latasha, Lorenzo, Jennifer, Martin, Louis, Samantha , Yvonne , Sabastian , Ramiro G. , Cassandra , Pablo, Joseph Jess IV, Ciarra, Mateo, Tadhg, Sage, Paloa , Adriana, Candice, Richard, Ernestina, John, Jess, Joanna, Brittany, Jessina, Ashley, 16 great great grandchildren: Kuruk, Iliana, Nuri, Gabriel, Martine Jr. Jacob, Raymond, Hailly, Josh, Genard Jr. Emily, Melody, Maria, Kimberly Rose, Eric jr. , Doelena Rose, 1 great great great granddaughter: Makila A visitation for Hortensia will be held on Monday, February 4, 2013 from 5-9pm with a vigil beginning at 7pm located at the Perez Family Funeral Home in Camarillo. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 9am located at Mary Star of the Sea Church in Oxnard. Burial will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard.
