Henry Nava

To his Heavenly Kingdom in the comfort of his own home.

Born April 21, 1931, he was the first-born son of Pete & Rafaela Nava of Santa Paula 

And a brother of 3 siblings. He is preceded in death by his parent’s, his brother’s Jack & Jess

Nava and his daughter Silvia. He is survived by his Sister Margaret Garcia, his Son’s Robert, Rick & George. His Daughter’s Alice & Teresa. Many Grandchildren, Greta Grandchildren, Nieces, Cousins, Friends, and his music family.

Henry enlisted into The Marine Corps in 1948, he was honored at the age of 17 to be. 

Marching with the Marine Corps Marching Band at the Rose Parade. Music was in his soul, he 

Worked construction for 35 years as a Brick Layer.

Music, music, music was Henry’s Life. He played among many bands and was leader of his own. 

Band. “The Nava Brothers.” Henry’s passion to his end was music, throughout the years he passed along his vibrant, yet smooth sounds playing his saxophone, clarinet, flute, or any instrument to create a beat alongside incredible musicians. Henry brought us to our feet in tremendous joyous indulgence. 

Henry lived with love for God that was unquestionable. God knew Henry fulfilled his honor here on Earth and he was lovingly guided home. May the music continue in Heaven as it is on Earth.

Services for Henry will be held at The Perez Family Funeral Home located at 3150 Loma Vista Road in Ventura Ca. Monday December 11^th, 2023, 5-8pm with rosary beginning at 6:30pm.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday December 12^th, 2023, at 10am at Sacred Heart Church 

10800 Henderson Road, Ventura 93004. Burial to follow at Santa Paula Cemetery.

Reception to be held at Buena Ventura Mobile Home Estates Club House
