Henry Alonzo

Henry "Hank" Alonzo (1953-2010) Henry Alonzo died shortly before 8 a.m. Wednesday morning May 26th of complications from cancer at the age of 56. He was born August 7th, 1953 in Oxnard California to Antonio and Maria Alonzo, and had been a Ventura County Resident for 56 years. Henry graduated from Channel Islands High School in 1971, going on to serve our country for four years in the United States Air Force. Upon returning he was employed and worked for the City of Oxnard's Refuse department where he retired after 12 years. Henry is survived by his daughter Valerie R. Bolante and her husband Godfrey of Anchorage, Alaska; son Vincent H. Alonzo and his wife Deanna of Camarillo, grand children Kiara, Mia, Crossefino, Cain, Kaylee, Ashlee and Vincent Andres , Parents Maria Alonzo, of Oxnard, Ca, Antonio Alonzo of Bakersfield, Ca, brothers Tony, Roy and Steven; sisters Mary and Raquel. Uncle to many nephews and nieces. He will always be remembered for his generosity, care for others and sense of humor. Henry will be deeply missed by those whose lives he has touched. Visitation will be held from 5-9 PM Thursday June 3rd at Perez Family Funeral Home in Camarillo with the rosary beginning at 7PM. Mass will be held Friday at St. Anthony's in Oxnard at 10 AM followed by grave side burial at Santa Clara Cemetery.
