Helen Mary Pagano, 85, of Saticoy passed away on Feb. 6, 2009. She was born in Manhatten Aug. 28, 1923 to John and Helen Jancovich and was a Ventura County resident for 9 years.
Mary was living in Long Island, when she joined the war effort at both Liberty and Republic Aircraft Companies in Farmingdale. It was also in Long Island where she met William McCann who she married in 1946. Mary lived the life of a military wife until 1961 at which time they had two children, William and Craig. Then in 1965, Mary found the love of her life, Joseph Pagano, and were married until 1997 when Joe passed away in Bakersfield.
Mary moved to the Buena Ventura Mobile Home Park in Saticoy in 1998 and became involved in the social activities group for the park until Oct. 2008. Mary was very creative and it showed in the many arts or crafts forms she attempted.
Mary is survived by two children, William McCann (wife Shel) of Henderson NV.and Craig McCann (wife Rosa) of Oxnard, and a granddaughter, Emilia McCann of Nashville T.N., cousin, nephews, and in laws. She will be missed by her many friends and the congregation at the Church of the Foothills.
