Helen Michl

Helen Louise Michl (Paris) was born January 19, 1923 in Kirksville, Missouri to Louella (Martin) and Alva Paris. She passed away peacefully December 29, 2022, at the age of 99 (22 days short of her 100th birthday) at The Palms at Bonaventure Assisted Living in Ventura, Ca. 

Helen was married to the late Frank L Michl in 1943 in Olney, Illinois. After leaving Illinois, they spent some time in Vernal, Ut before finally settling in Santa Paula, Ca in 1955.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alva Paris and Louella Lane, husband Frank L (1997), sister Hazel (2019), and son John (1978).

Helen devoted her life to her husband and six children. She also loved sewing, music, art, and theater. 

Helen is survived by her remaining children Beverly (Joe) Webb, Keith (Donna), Stephen (Nancy), Mary Colby, and Frank J (Theresa). She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren (2 heavenly), and several great great grandchildren. 

The family would like to thank the staff at The Palms at Bonaventure for assisting with the care of Helen for the last 2 ½ years, and her wonderful caregiver, Elva Perez. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a Veterans Association of your choice.

Viewing will be Mon Jan 9 from 12 to 1:30pm at Perez Family Funeral Home located at 738 E Santa Paula St. Graveside service will be at 2pm at Santa Paula Cemetery. The family will also be having a Celebration of Life on Jan 14 at 3pm at the Presbyterian Church, 121 Davis St. Santa Paula, Ca.
