Harriet Glass

Harriet C. Glass Ojai, Ca 1912- 2012 Harriet was born November 4, 1912 in Washington D.C. to Abe and Lena Galblum. She moved to Los Angeles as a young girl. She lived down the street from her future husband George. She attended UCLA the first year it opened. In 1930 she married George Her husband of 54 years. Harriet & George sent their eldest son, Steve, to Ojai Valley School as a boarder and were frequent visitors to the Valley. In !954 the bought a home so their younger son, Barry could also attend OVS. Harriet had a great and generous spirit. She volunteered at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center and then at Ojai Hospital for over 30 years. She never missed a Monday! She was an avid golfer; folk dancer and a card player, and she shared these interest with her children and best friends Genee Lambert and Peg Sheppard. Harriet was a life long liberal and never missed and election. She is survived by her two sons, Stephen and Barry, grandchildren Michael and Gregory, great grandchildren Dylan, Dustin, Kasey, Andrew, and Jeff, and daughter in law Sandra. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, and sister, and son in law, Bill.
