Jessica Guinevere Hallmark
“Guinn”
September 13, 1932 - March 15, 2012
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “For Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all of your heart”.
Jeremiah 29:11-13
Jessica Guinevere Hallmark, 79, better known to her family and friends as “Guinn”, was born September 13, 1932 to Jessica Ann and Hillary Douglas Sanders in Corpus Christi, Texas. She passed from this life into eternity into the loving arms of her Lord Jesus Christ on March 15, 2012 to join in the embrace of her departed husband, Lawrence (Larry) Lee Hallmark after 23 years of his passing. They were married on October 13, 1951 in Fort Worth, Texas. They moved to Colorado to start their own business called Hallmark Striping Company. They were charter members of Valley Country Club and played golf, traveled and developed many lifelong friendships in their 38 years of marriage. Guinn and Larry were among the founding members of Cherry Hills Community Church in Littleton, Colorado. They had three children; Belton Douglas (7-6-51) who is a physician in family practice and currently owns Douglas Family Medicine in Castle Rock, CO., Lawrence Lee Jr.(5-14-57)- deceased in 1984, and Kelley Ann (2-7-62) who is an audiologist in Simi Valley, CA.
Guinn has always been known for her energetic, outgoing, charm, beauty, strong faith and sense-of-humor. She was instantly loved by everyone she met and always had a twinkle in her eye and smile on her face. There was always time and dedication to her children and grandchildren and most got to know her affectionately as “Grammy Boo Boo”. She enjoyed playing bridge with longstanding cherished friends that formed her bloody mary bridge group. Her email address gogogrammy13 reflected her vibrant personality.
After spending Christmas with her daughter and family in California, she had a mild heart attack which further complicated her chronic lung condition. After a brief stay in the hospital, she was released to her daughter’s house for hospice care. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren in the early morning.
Guinn was a wonderful grandmother, mother, wife and friend and will be missed dearly by all.
