Guadalupe Arroyo Alonzo age 88, passed away Friday June 2, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family at her bed side. Lupita was born March 24, 1929 in Motul, Yucatan, Mexico. In May of 1962 she boarded a train in Merida with her five children and started her journey to meet our father Juan Alonzo in Oxnard, California. She arrived to a beautiful new home our father had bought for us and in this home she took care of her family till she fell ill. Here she saw her children grow and then she had the pleasure of taking care of her grandchildren too because thanks to our father mother never had to work. He always told her her job was to take care of her love ones. Mom is now in heaven with Dad, her father and mother Julio and Francisca, her sister Edith, her brothers Julio, Alvar and William, her beautiful baby girl Rita, her first grandson Carlitos, son-in-law Javier Orozco and grandson-in-law Ruben Bustamante. Mother is survive by her children Carlos Alonzo Sr. (wife Rosie), Elizabeth Herrera (husband Raymond) Silvia Orozco, Edith Alonzo, Luis Alonzo (wife Mary), Cathy Rodriguez (husband Alvaro)...her grandchildren Juanito, Alice, Cindy, Rebecca (husband Fermin), Jeannette (husband Vincent), Teresa, Silvia (husband Juan), Javier (wife Tina),Alvaro and Lisette (husband TJ) Her 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great children. At this time our family would like to thank Nurses Julie, Jackie and Amelia from Livingston Memorial Hospice Care and the doctors from Seaview Coumadin Clinic Leslie and Cathy and their entire staff that treated our mother with compassion care. Mother our hearts are broken, we will miss your sweet face, we will miss coming home and you no longer there but we find some comfort knowing you are in heaven with Dad and your love ones and you no longer feel any pain. Save a place for us at your new home in heaven for when we meet again.
