Gloria L Ruiz

Our beloved Gloria Lopez-Ruiz has gained her angel wings and entered the heavenly gates on July 9th, 2022. Gloria was welcomed into this world on April 10th, 1936. She was born to Henry and Margaret Lopez. She was born and raised in Santa Paula, CA. She met her husband Roy N. Ruiz in late 1950’s and got married in 1963, in which they were married up until his passing. Together they welcomed their two children, Roy Jr. and Nancy. Gloria was known for her gambling whether it was playing bingo, participating in football pools, and going to the casinos for her turn around trips to State Line and Las Vegas. She was a fan of sports and truly enjoyed watching her grandchildren's sporting events, football and Dodgers baseball. She liked to relax doing her crossword puzzles and enjoy time with family. Gloria retired from Santa Paula Orange Association with over 25 years of service. Gloria is reunited in heaven with her father Henry Lopez, mother Margaret Lopez, husband Roy Ruiz Sr., and her lifelong partner Flavio Torres. She is survived by her sister Anita Lopez-Gonzalez (George), son Roy Ruiz Jr. (Frances), daughter Nancy Ruiz-Alamillo (Chaleo Sr.), granddaughter Irene Alamillo, grandson's Chaleo Alamillo Jr., Robert Alamillo, and Ryan Alamillo, great-grandson Achilles Alamillo and her precious granddog's Sophie Ruiz and Mia Alamillo We will always miss and love her. Now forever our guardian Angel. She will never be forgotten and will always be in our hearts. Mass will be on Friday July 22nd, 2022 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church 427 N Oak St, with burial following at Santa Paula Cemetery.
