Gloria S. Lopez, 83, of Moorpark, CA peacefully left us on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, with her daughter and grandchildren by her side.
Gloria S. Lopez was born on March 23, 1932 in Simi Valley, California. Gloria raised her family in Moorpark and lived there majority of her life. To a lot of people she was known as Gloria but her family and loved ones she was known as "Grandma Nene". She was a child care provider in Moorpark for over forty years.
Grandma loved to socialize no matter what the event was or where it was being held, whether it was with her own family or someone she just met. Grandma was very fond of telling stories, it never mattered how many times someone heard the same story, they would always ask to hear it again. These stories never got old to her family members, she was able to bring each one of them to life with every little detail. Grandma's stories ranged from making you laugh, to being scared with ghost stories all the way to just making you reminisce with family stories, no matter the case she always had something to keep you entertained.
Along with the memories of Grandma, it is these stories that she has told us throughout her life that will be passed on from generation to generation.
Gloria is preceded in death by her two sons Billy and Manuel, daughter Elizabeth, parents Raphael and Reyna Servantez, and granddaughter Roxanne and is survived by her two daughters, Yolanda Rodriguez and Susan Sanchez, 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
We will all miss you deeply, but we are comforted in knowing you are resting in peace and will forever carry your love in our hearts.
Yolanda and her family would like to thank everyone for their support and prayers during this very difficult time. A memorial/rosary is set for Thursday, May 14th at 5:00pm at Perez Family Funeral Home in Camarillo and a Mass will be held on Friday, May 15th at 10:00am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Moorpark. Burial will follow at Simi Valley Public Cemetery in Simi Valley.
