Our beloved Brother, Uncle, Godfather, Guardian Angel and Friend, Gilbert Aceves, Jr. joined the Lord on April 6th 2017. He was preceded in death by his father Gilberto E. Aceves and his mother Amparo S. Aceves and is survived by his brothers and sisters, Leon, Joe, Robert, Marylou, and Lupe. He leaves behind three sisters-in-law, Jeanette, Sonia and Carmen and two brothers-in-law Mike and Chris. He was a wonderful uncle to 14 nieces and nephews: Leon Jr. Leanna, Lynette, Nadia, Lucas, Robert Jr., Andrew, Katie, Lorena, Mariana, Jessica, Raymond, Christopher (Godson), and Rhett. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Pinto. Gilbert was born on April 9th 1962 at Oxnard Community Hospital and was a Camarillo resident for over 49 years. He was loved by many for his kindness, generosity and giving heart. Gilbert enjoyed cooking and gardening and took much pride in keeping his mom’s yard well groomed. He will always be remembered for his great smile, funny personality and being the life of the party. He enjoyed talking to his neighbors and friends and making them laugh. Gilbert loved God and loved helping people. If you needed help with anything, especially moving or painting, he was the first to say yes (Thank you, Gilbert). We will miss your funny jokes and stories, all your sayings like "What up Fool", "Peace Out", and "Are You Kidding Me", your dancing and loud music (such as The Rolling Stones), driving to our home for free food and seeing you drive around town with Pinto hanging out the window and walking him with his blinking collar. We will miss the honking of your horn every time you saw us or came over. But most of all we’ll miss your caring heart. Thank you for being the best Brother, Uncle, Friend and Guardian Angel anyone could ever ask for. Our lives will never be the same. We will miss you and love you always. May you rest in peace Gilbert, you are in God's hands now. We Love You! Gilbert’s services will be as follows: Viewing on Wed. April 19, 2017 at Perez Family Funeral Home, 1347 Del Norte Rd.
