Born and raised in Martins Ferry, Ohio. George drove a taxi for his dad’s taxi business after high school. He joined the Army and served two years during the Korean War. After his discharge, he married the love of his life and in 1956 they moved to California. George started his career in Oxnard with General Telephone ad Electronics Corporation (GTE) for the next 31 years. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed music, dancing, art and camping. You could not find a better handyman. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 ¾ years of marriage, Flora Bea; his son’s Jeff and Michael and his daughters and their spouses; Lynette and George Clyde, Jerene and Steve Slivinsky, and Kristine Stratas. With ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, he was a devoted and loving family man and the BEST DAD and PAPPAP in the whole world!
