On Friday, April 10th, our beloved George Ordaz Paredes was called home by the Lord. George lived a much fulfilled life, which included many family and friends.
Born January 2, 1935 in Los Angeles, California to John and Conception Paredes, he was the youngest of five sons. He graduated from Moorpark High School in 1954, where he excelled in numerous sports activities. Upon Graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, from 1954-1957, where he honorably served to the rank of SSG/3rd grade.
On August 31, 1958, he married the love of his life Neomi Romero. George and Neomi would have celebrated their 57th year of marriage this August.
George worked as an associate engineer for Rocketdyne Aerospace until his retirement in 1996. During his career he worked on numerous NASA and DOD projects, such as the Apollo and the Space Shuttle programs.
George loved volunteering and spent many years with the local Little League Organization. Three of his passions were coaching, umpiring, and watching his children and grandchildren play sports.
George is preceded in death by his parents, John and Conception Paredes, brothers John O, Henry and Norman. He is survived by his brother Albert, along with numerous brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.
He leaves behind his loving wife Neomi, sons John (Becky), George E (Annette), Bob (Cheryl), James (Jennifer) and Stephen (Patti), 15 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, along with many other close family and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, April 17th from 5-8 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Moorpark, California.

A Mass Service will be held on Saturday, April 18th, 12:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church of Moorpark.
Burial to follow at Assumption Cemetery in Simi Valley, California.
