It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frank Espinoza also known to many as “Channel 2” on December 29th, 2020. Frank was born June 9th, 1947 and raised in Oxnard, CA. He graduated from Oxnard High School in 1965. He then went on to Barber College and began his career in barbering cutting many generations of hair and mentoring many up and coming barbers over the years. A haircut from Frank was always an experience with his joke telling and his charismatic, holding nothing back personality. He also worked many years for Chase Bros Dairy and recently retired from Aramark as a long time delivery route man. Frank will also fondly be remembered as “Coach” which was his true passion. He devoted countless of years to local sports and won many League and All Star championships at Sunset and El Rio Little League where he won Senior League District 13 Championship, one of his proudest accomplishments in coaching. Frank had a love for Doo Wop Oldies and was always the life of the party where he loved picking up a mic and singing all his old school favorites especially James Brown “Try Me” and “Please, Please, Please” He leaves behind his loving wife of 54 years Belle, daughter Gina Rodriguez, (Jorge) sons Ronaldo and Fernando Espinoza, grandsons Raymond Espinoza (Bree), Jorgie Rodriguez, and Brandon Espinoza, granddaughters Hannah, Jannah and Elaina Espinoza and 3 great grandkids. He also leaves behind his sister Christine “Cookie” Tejeda and brother Micheal Gonzales all of Oxnard as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, compadres, godchildren, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Theresa Pina, brother Jimmy Espinoza, sisters Vicki Bustamante, and Linda Espinoza, and his godson Gilbert “Buggy” Regalado Jr. Service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday January 23, 2021 at Perez Family Funeral Home, 1347 Del Norte Rd. , Camarillo. Burial will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery, 2370 North H Street in Oxnard. If attending, please observe current COVID-19 masks and social distancing guidelines. The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
