Eugenia Lara

Eugenia Lara Oak View, CA Eugenia, 62, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011. She was born November 15, 1948 in Veracruz, Mexico to Lorenza Bastian Garcia and Benito Olmedo Perez. She married, a wonderful man, Joaquin Lara, 33 years ago. Eugenia was raised in Veracruz, Mexico and immigrated to the United States in 1977. A short time passed and she met Joaquin in Oxnard and never left his side after that. They married and had five children. She lived a very happy life with him. They did everything together. Even after 30 years of marriage, they still held hands. She was the most loving mother anyone could have. She spoiled all her five children, even in their adulthood. Her grandchildren adored her, she was more than a grandmother for them, she was their second mother. She had the most beautiful smile and most wonderful laugh. She will be missed and always remembered. She is survived by her husband Joaquin Lara in Oak View; their children and spouses Angelina Lara (Albert Salinas) in Ojai, Joaquin Lara, Jr. (Marlene Lara) in Ojai, Severo Lara (Laura Charles) in Ojai, Claudia Nelson (Mathew Nelson) in Ventura, and Benito Lara in Oak View; grandchildren Mireya Esquivel, Alexia Esquivel, Javan Salinas, Magdalena Lara, Pricila Lara, Chloe Lara, and Elise Lara; sister Reina Olmedo in Salsburg, North Carolina; brother Victor Olmedo in Oak View, and Anselmo Olmedo in Mexico City.
