Esther was born on January 30, 1927, and passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. Esther was a lifelong resident of California. Esther started life in an immigrant family from Mexico who worked hard picking cotton in the fields. She was a first-generation Californian. Despite their beginnings in a hard life, Esther and her brothers were able to rise to higher levels: Esther became a Realtor, Leo became a barber and Richard became a dentist. Family and family gatherings were important in Esther's life. She continued that tradition learned from her mother, Socorro Vivian Rangel, for many years by cooking huge and wonderful meals for us on Christmas, Thanksgiving and other holidays when the family would gather.
Esther was especially happy when she was with her grandchildren, Brooke, Kimberly and Erika from Don Bolt and Cody Cook from Wendy Bolt. She spent many happy hours and years taking care of and having fun with her grandchildren.
Many other relatives knew and loved Esther too. My cousin, Andy Benson, said, "...she is a beautiful, enchanting woman whom will always be a part of my life."
Although there were bad times and good times, Esther was always there for us, her children and grandchildren, and will be sorely missed by all.
According to my personal beliefs, each person is a spiritual being who lives many lives. Thus, I have wished Esther, my Mom, much happiness and especially health in her new next life, recently begun.
