Eduardo Altoveroz Francisco

d. April 14, 2016

Eduardo A. Francisco, 69, died on April 14, 2016. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that “Eddie” had touched in many ways throughout his memorable life. Eddie was born in the Philippines (Obando, Bulacan). He and his wife, Lita, raised their two children, Jason and Joseph. He worked at the Manila Electric Company (Meralco) for over 10 years, and moved to Oxnard, California in the 1980’s where he and Lita continued to build their family lives. Eddie worked in the hotel industry and took humble pride in working tirelessly to support his children in sending them to finish college. In 2005, the Francisco family moved to Camarillo, California where they all lived within close proximity to one another. Eddie was an active member of the Church of Christ. He served as a deacon who attended to the spiritual needs and well-being of his fellow church members. He also took on leadership roles as a president and as one of the key officers in the Christian Family Organization and Light of Salvation. In 2001, Eddie suffered a stroke, went in to rehab for physical therapy and gained his strength back. After a few months of physical therapy and rehab, he returned to his church duties without fail, without complaint, and had remained active in serving God until his passing. For nearly 15 years since he had recovered from the stroke, Eddie enjoyed helping to raise his grandchildren with his wife. He loved cooking, karaoke, watched TV, and he also participated in various community and church activities. Most of all, he loved being a family man. He also spent many trips traveling to visit his friends and family in the Philippines, Canada, and Hawaii. Eddie is survived by his wife, Lita, and two sons, Jason and Joseph Francisco, his two daughters-in-law, Nancy and Susan. He leaves behind his five precious grandchildren, Ethan Noah, Madison Rae, Caitlin Reese, Evan Cole, and Hailey Nicole Francisco – all of them affectionately called him “Papa.” He held his loving parents close to his heart, Amang Luis (RIP), Inang Perpetua (RIP), and his siblings, Vita, Linda, Rosie, Rey, Louie, Normita, Mercy (RIP), and Dolfo (RIP). He treasured his in-laws, Mama Flocer (RIP), Papa Anacleto (RIP), Cita, Danny, Nette, and Kit. He also cherished all of his nephews, nieces, church members, and many of his extended family members. Eddie touched the lives of many, and he will be missed terribly. Dad, you are no longer in pain, and are now in peace. We love you!
