Edilberto Esquivel was born on June 30, 1929. He was born in Congregacion Juarez, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. His father and mother names were Blas and Romana Esquivel. He comes from a family of 7 siblings. He has 5 sisters and 1 brother. His sister’s names are Sirley, Nieves, Rosa, Clara, and Blasa. His brother’s name is Adelino. On April 29, 1950 he married Maria Luisa Saenz in General Trevino, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He has 2 daughters and their names are Maria Olga and Rosa Alicia. Maria Olga was born on June 26, 1951. Rosa Alicia on September 21, 1952. He bought his land in General Trevino and constructed his house for him and his family to live in. He lived in General Trevino until 1961 and then he came over to the United States. When he came to the USA he lived in a town called Somis, California. He and his family lived in Somis from 1962 to 1972. In the year 1972 he and his family moved to Camarillo, California. Since that year he has called Camarillo his home. He has 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Grandchildren names are Enrique (R.I.P.), Yadhira, Yanett Rodriguez; Rocio and Fernando Jimenez. Great grandchildren names are Esmeralda Herrera, Raul Guerra and 3rd great grandchild is due to be born in February 2012. His life occupation was working as an irrigation concrete pipe worker. He has always been a hard worker and always provided for his whole family. He then retired in the year 1991. He loved watching baseball on TV and he has always liked the L. A. Dodgers. He always liked to hang around his whole family and go on trips. He would go every year to Laredo, Texas to visit his daughter and her family and to General Trevino where he has his house. He always loved to have barbeques at his house and have the family over. He loved to hang around with his friends at the neighborhood donut shop. He loved to listen to norteno music and other Mexican music as well. He always liked to laugh and be cheerful and was always nice to everybody. He was the best son, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his whole family and friends. His memory will live with us in our minds and our hearts forever. We don’t want to say good bye, but see you later because we will see him again someday. We miss you, we love you, and we will always think of you.
