David Charles Franco

David C. Franco December 8, 1933 – June 5, 2020 David C. Franco, age 86, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 5, 2020 in West Hills, CA Born in Watts, CA, he was the son of Pete and Mary Franco of Moorpark. He attended St. Clara High School. He was a proud veteran of the Korean Conflict with the U.S. Air Force. He was self-employed as a brick mason for over 50+ years. He raised all of his children in Moorpark. He was a member of the Holy Cross Chapel/Church, belonged to the Knights of Columbus and in the early 1970’s belonged to the Club Amistad Latina de Moorpark. He umpired for many years with the Moorpark Little League Association. He enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, traveling and bowling. He will be remembered for his carnitas and backyard parties. He is survived by his children, Lupe Murphy, Mona and Roger Preston, Toni and Bill Serrano, David R. and Adriana Franco and Annette and Willie McCarroll; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers John, Robert and Ernie and sisters Virginia, Ellen and Rachel. He was married to Virginia Franco of Moorpark and Gloria Franco of San Diego. He is predeceased by parents Pete and Mary Franco, brother Charles A. Franco and son-in-law Michael L. Murphy. Celebration of Life for David C.
