David Faist

David Arthur Faist Ventura CA. / Grass Valley CA. David Faist, 64, passed away suddenly on Sat. June 5th,2010. Dave was born on April 4th,1946 in Michigan to Austin and Beulah Faist. He was raised in Ventura, CA., where he graduated from Buena High School in 1964. Dave was in the automotive industry in Ventura, where he successfully owned and operated an automotive repair business for many years before acquiring a Texaco service station. After that he moved to the Northern Sacramento area where he continued in the automotive field, making a very large amount of lifelong friends along the way. For many who knew Dave his passion for racing was endless. He was best known in the racing community for his 55 Chevy and helping others on their race cars. Not too often in life do you find a "true friend" and to many Dave was that "true friend" and he will be missed dearly by so many. He is survived by his son Steve Faist of Ventura, daughter Sheri Faist Lewis of New Castle, brother Doug and wife Lois Faist of San Clemente and their two sons Christopher and Cameron Faist.
