David Dorantes

David Chavez Dorantes - dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend - passed away in his sleep at home in Fillmore, CA on December 3, 2022 at the age of 87, after battling a fight with pancreatic cancer.

David was born in Iguala, Mexico on December 29, 1934.  David married his wife, Catalina on March 31, 1967 and soon after welcomed their first child, David JR. In short time the family grew to six with the births of Eduardo, Fernando and Lina.

David loved to play and watch soccer, especially when it came to watch his boys play.  

David called the Fillmore area home for almost 50 years.  He worked for General Motors for 30 years where he was on the assembly line and retired.

David is survived by his wife, Catalina; their children David JR, Eduardo, Fernando and Lina; five grand children Arianna, Marissa, Anthony, Jasmine and Joseph; one great grandchild Gianna.
