A Celebration of Life
Remembering
Daniel M. Buenconsejo
May 29, 1932 – February 15, 2022
Daniel “Danny” M. Buenconsejo, age 89 of Oxnard, CA passed away on February 15, 2022. Daniel was born on May 29, 1932 in Pangasinan, Philippines to Colonel Ireneo Buenconsejo and Lucina Militar Buenconsejo. He studied Mechanical Engineering at University of Philippines.
Danny is preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Erlinda, in 2018 and also his precious grand-daughter, Brittany Llorin, in 1995.
Danny is survived by his children; Gary and (May) Buenconsejo of Oxnard; Nilda and (Eric) Llorin of Oxnard; Lina and (Tony) Bombardier of Camarillo. His grandchildren, Jena Bombardier, Brian and (Amy) Buenconsejo, Nathan Llorin and Haley Bombardier. His “great” granddaughters, Emily Buenconsejo and Emma (who is soon-to-be-born). Danny is also survived by his siblings, Oscar Buenconsejo, Julian Buenconsejo and Lourdes Barretto all from the Philippines.
He began his career as an engineer and worked at Firestone Tire Company in the Philippines. Then in 1975, he bravely migrated to the U.S. to pursue a better life for his family. His first job in the U.S. was with Fansteel Inc in Newbury Park, CA. His last employer was Reinhold Industries Inc in Oxnard, CA. He was still working with them until the week before he passed. He amazes everyone at how he continued working well into his late 80’s.
Danny always enjoyed playing tennis and he met life-long friends at the tennis courts. He was also a self-taught piano player. He never learned to read music notes but he can play by ear. He was a great photographer. He loved taking photos and making videos of his family and friends. He was a great inventor. He would think of something in his head, design it and make it. Many of his family and friends came to him for advice with any mechanical issues. He was also a great prankster and loved to joke around. He may appear quiet to some but he’s always a step ahead of everyone.
“Our dad will be missed and our love for him will live on in our memories forever”
