Conrad Duran of Ventura passed away peacefully on December 29, 2012 at the age of 86 surrounded by his family. Conrad was born in Fresno, Ca on November 26, 1926 and spent his entire life in Ventura to proud parents Francisco and Soledad Duran. He attended local schools in Ventura. On May 7, 1960 Conrad married the love of his life Marina Arellano and they settled in Ventura. Conrad retired from the Old Mission Church in Ventura where he worked for 26 years. He was a very religious man and was a member of The Knights of Columbus for over 50 years. Conrad loved his family and friends and attended all family celebrations and special occassions. Conrad will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Although Conrad lost his eye sight that didn't prevent him from his love of gardening and doing handyman work around his home.

He was preceded in death by his Parents Francisco and Soledad Duran, Sister Teresa Valencia and Brother Adam Pulido
He is survived by his wife Marina of Ventura, Brother Pete Duran (Barbara) of Ventura, Brother Frank Duran of Ventura, Brother George Duran (Maria) of Ventura, Brother Billy Duran (Anna) of Ventura, Sister Grace Varela (Martin) of Oxnard and many Nephews and Nieces.
A visitation for Conrad will be held on Thursday, January 3rd at the San Buena Ventura Mission in Ventura. A vigil will begin at 7pm. Mass will be held on Friday, January 4th at 10am at the San Buena Ventura Mission in Ventura. Burial will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard.
