(This is for the photo DVD Slide Show) Claudia Maria Simonek-Taniguchi Moorpark Claudia Marie Simonek-Taniguchi (Moosie), 58, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010. She was born November 13, 1951 in Inglewood, CA to Gerald F. and Dolores A. Simonek. She married Allen Kenji Taniguchi, October 21, 1978 in Gardena, CA. They lived in Camarillo until their children were born then resided in Moorpark, CA for 24 years, where she worked at Mountain Meadows elementary school. Moosie always had a special recipe to share and loved to cook up a meal for anyone who should arrive at her home. She was a lifelong USC Trojan fan. Claudia was loved dearly by her family, friends & coworkers. She was the glue that held her family together and her loss leaves a hole that can never be filled. She was an unselfish, positive individual with a playful sense of humor who touched everyone who crossed her path. She will be remembered and missed by all who knew and loved her. Claudia is survived by her husband Allen, and children Allison & Adam. She also leaves behind her mother Dolores Simonek, 7 siblings: Talu (Bill) Gard, Chris (Ernie) Haeger, Connie (Hendrik) Baars, Tisha (George) Hammers, Tom (Katy) Simonek, Pookie (Brian) Hendrick, Jean (Arno) Zwarg, several nieces & nephews, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
