Celia passed away in her sleep on June 23, 2016. She was born and raised in Alhambra, California on September 23, 1919. She was the daughter of Maximo and Lupe Cota Salazar. Maximo was an ironworker in Alhambra and, was a union organizer of mineworkers in the early 1900’s. In 1939 she married her lifelong husband Trancy Corralejo, who was from one of the founding families of Moorpark. They lived there until 1978 then, moved to Camarillo. They were married for 70 years. Celia was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her six brothers and sisters, husband Trancy, their son Robert, grandsons Kevin, and Brian. She is survived by her children Linda Miranda (Antonio), Sylvia Armstrong (Bob), and sons George ( Jorge), and Alem, 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She worked in local jobs and finished in the assembly of technology products industry in Newberry Park. Celia was the most wonderful loving mother committed to the welfare of her family and extended family too. She was a gourmet cook and, a most efficient and clean housekeeper and also, loved the Dodgers. Celia was friends with many of the old family neighbors in Moorpark and later in Camarillo with her newer neighbors. Her best friend, Ramona Bravo from Moorpark, sadly speaking, just recently passed. Celia traveled to the U.S. East coast, Canada, and, throughout Mexico with her husband and children. She also enjoyed ocean visits to Ensenada and Rosarito Beach. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and will be honored forever in our hearts. The family wishes to give a special thanks to the nurse and caretakers for their kindness and care: Maureen Pauly and Kate of Livingston Memorial and, Pet and Rochelle. Mass will be held July 5th at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Church on Ventura Blvd. in Camarillo. The burial will follow at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, 2052 Howard Road, Camarillo.
