Celedonio “Cele” Galaviz, 89 was welcome into the Lords loving arms on Apr 10, 2010. He passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family in Camarillo. Cele was born in Zacatecas, Mexico, on March 3, 1921. He was a resident of Ventura County for 48 years. He came to the United States in 1956 on the Bracero Program which was an agreement between the U.S. and Mexico that permitted temporary agricultural work in the United States. He worked in the Agricultural Industry for 40 yrs.
Cele was very active in his church Iglecia Calvario de Camarillo, up until his passing. His passion was to serve the Lord and loved to have bible studies and prayer meetings at his home. Dad loved working in his vegetable garden and helping his children with their yard work and other projects. As dad would say “aqui haciendo travesuras”
Cele is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Tili Galaviz, Sisters: Eugenia Monroy of Temecula, Ca. Guadalupe and Carmen of Mexico. Children: Graciano & (Marina) Galaviz, Isabel & (Francisco) Vasquez, Anna & (Michael) Silva, Emma & (Humberto) Heredia, Salvador & (Liz) Galaviz, Juan & (Loretta) Galaviz, Ray & (Rosie) Galaviz, 20 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren.
Viewing Service will be on April 15, at 7:30pm held at Calvary Chapel of Camarillo, 380 Mobile Ave, Camarillo. Prayer Service on April 16, at 10am held at Perez Family Funeral Home, 1347 Del Norte Rd. Burial service will follow at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, Camarillo.
