Blandina Romero Cortez
Blandina at the age of 88 transitioned to heaven on October 22, 2023. She was born on June 2, 1935, to Primitivo Romero and Soledad Arroyo in Churinzio, Michoacán, Mexico.
She immigrated to the United States in 1965 . She later became a naturalized citizen which was a highlight in her life.
She and her husband Rodolfo Cortez (deceased) had four children which she leaves behind. Daughter, Maria Cervantes. Sons: Rudy Cortez, Martin Cortez and wife Angelica, and Carlos Cortez and wife Silvia all of Oxnard.
Her five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren will dearly miss her.
Also, leaves her sisters: Evangelina Romero Garibay of Stockton, Calif and Lydia Romero Amezcua of East Wenatchee, Washington. Brother

In Mexico she grew up in ranch setting with her father being the blacksmith of the area. She left Mexico to join her husband in California.
Her life career of working in convalescent nursing homes was to fulfill her basic desire to help people and contribute in a positive way.
Viewing will be on November 2, 2023 from 4 pm to 9 pm with Rosary at 6 pm at the Perez Family Funeral Home, Camarillo.
Mass will be on November 3, 2023 at 9:30 am at our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Oxnard.
Burial to follow at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park in Camarillo.
