Bertha Ann Maggio peacefully entered through the gates of heaven to be with our Lord and Savior on April 11, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 69.
Bertha was born on January 2nd,1956, to Martin and Isabel " Chavie" P Hernandez of Moorpark, California. Bertha grew up in Moorpark and attended local schools. Bertha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, a cherished sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend who touched the lives of everyone she met, she brought love and laughter to all that knew her.
In 1985, she met and fell in love with her husband, Mark Maggio, and they married in 1999. They were devoted to each other and never left each others side. Together, they raised five sons.
Bertha’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Her happiest and most enjoyable moments were the time she spent with family, she would get so much joy when she would spend time with "her babies" the grandchildren.
Bertha is survived by her husband, her sons and daughter in law Jose and Christina Diaz of Thousand Oaks, Robert Diaz of Moorpark, Mark Anthony Maggio of Simi Valley, and Mikey Gomez of Moorpark.
She is also loved and cherished by her 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren with 1 on the way, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is further survived by her sisters, Yolanda (Ruben) Rodriguez, Cynthia Romo, and Deborah Hernandez.
Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, her son Daniel Primo Diaz, and stepdaughter Jennifer Lynn Maggio.
Our family would like to take this time to thank the nurses on the oncology floor at Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks for treating our loved one and her family with the utmost respect and care.
