Benjamin Frank Garcia Sr.

Benjamin F. Garcia Sr. born on June 4, 1964 was born and raised in Oxnard, California passed away suddenly on Sunday January 20, 2019 at the age of 54. 

Ben was greeted into the Kingdom of Heaven by Our Lord Jesus Christ also greeted by his Father Jaime Reyes.

Ben Loved the Lakers, going to the Casinos, The Raiders, Watching Sci-Fi and True Crime Stories. He liked going to Concerts, Dancing & Music. He liked the color Gold and he loved to eat {especially sherbet ice cream} almost as much as he loved women. More importantly... He Loved his Family! He was the entertainer. He was the story teller. You never knew what was true or not...He was the one full of jokes making everyone laugh (like if you thought you were getting money...jokes on you!)

As a young child, Ben was raised by his sister Mary Reyes and her husband Jaime as one of their own along with his siblings Corinna, James, Tony & Gema Reyes. Growing up in the Reyes home Ben was into Baseball, often times fought with his siblings like kids do, took many road trips, camping &, amusement parks etc. until he graduated from Channel Islands High School in 1983.

Straight out of high school, Ben went to  for The Naval Base as a civil service employee and remained there for 20 years working his way up to Supervisor in the Printing Dept. For a short time Ben was also a Truck Driver which was perfect for someone who liked to travel on the road making friends wherever he went.

Ben leaves behind his Children: Joanna M. Garcia, Benjamin F. Garcia Jr., Natalie Garcia, Unique Garcia, Step-Daughter Crystal Sapien. Grandchildren: Danny J. Lizama, Angel M. Lizama, Xzavier A. Pena and Uriah A. Garcia as well as many Nieces, Nephews.

He is also survived by his Mother Antonia Villanueva and his siblings Lupe Garcia, Mary Reyes, Norberto Garcia Jr., Joe Garcia (Rose), Richard Garcia, Manuel Simental, Christina Ramon, Maricela Rea (George) & Alfonso Rabelo.

Every time we go to a concert, or to a Casino or hear a song like Word Up, Ms. New Booty {Booty, Booty Booty rockin' everywhere},  Heaven (by Los Lonely Boys), we will always think of Ben. For every family get together, every birthday party, every Easter, every Christmas... we will all know that there is someone missing. We will all feel the emptiness in our hearts because Ben won't be there but we will all be sure to keep his memory alive when we speak of him and tell our stories about Ben. True stories... about the funny, loving guy who made us all laugh. Ben Garcia... Rest in Peace…

Visitation for Ben will be on Sunday January 27, 2019 in the Chapel at Perez Funeral Home, 1347 Del Norte Rd. Camarillo, Ca. 93010 from 6-7pm followed by Service from 7-9pm.

Mass will be held on January 28, 2019 at 9:30am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 500 N. Juanita Ave. Oxnard, Ca. 93030.
