McReynolds, Austin Joseph of Moorpark, CA, passed away on February 14, 2017 at his home due to complications from Congestive Heart Failure at the age of 86. Austin was born in Philadelphia, PA to Austin and Nora McReynolds and had a brother, George, and sister, Thelma, both deceased. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and he received his MBA from Rutger’s State University. He was a Master Sargent in the U.S. Marines. He worked for Alcoa Aluminum for 25 years and was transferred to California in 1972 to develop Century City for Alcoa. After completion of the Century City development, he left Alcoa to join Watt Industries as President of its’ High-Rise Division and worked there until he retired. He was married to Eileen J. McReynolds when he was 24 and she was 20. They were married for 62 years and she passed away a little over two weeks before him - we feel that he left us on Valentine’s Day so that he could be with her. He lived a wonderful, full life raising a big family and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Austin is survived by his daughter Lynne (McReynolds) Rollins and her husband Jack, daughter Kim (McReynolds) Dady, son Scott McReynolds and his wife Kirsten, and son Keith McReynolds and his wife Gail. His youngest son, Craig McReynolds, passed away in 2007. He has twelve grandchildren – Joshua, Jaalla and her husband Jason, Matthew and his wife Rebecca, Jennifer, Nicholas and his wife Analia, Austin, Kaylyn, Paige, Meagan, Kelly, Jessica, and Sarah. He has eight great-grandchildren – Cash, Scarlett, Jacey, Ryder, Noah, Luke, Jaxon, and Chase. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 4:00PM at The Perez Family Funeral Home in Camarillo, CA.
