Aurelio Gomez

Aurelio Gomez passed away peacefully on December 11, 2023.

Aurelio was born in Los Angeles, California on March 14, 1937to Aureliano and Petra Gomez. Later moving to Santa Paula, Aurelio lived in various parts of the county. He worked for California State Parks and ultimately retired from the California Youth Authority.

He will forever be remembered for his love of his family and friends.

Aurelio is survived by his daughters Donna Gomez, Renee (Gomez) Barreras, and son, Michael Gomez; brothers Ramiro(Irma) Gomez, Ruben (Virginia) Gomez, Johnny (Roberta)Gomez, Angel Gomez, and Frank Gomez; sisters Rose Gomez, Sarah Gomez and Josie Gomez, as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Debbie Duenas; parents Aureliano and Petra Gomez; brothers Roy Gomez, Arturo Gomez; sister Dolores Gomez.

Memorial services will be on January 12, 2024 at the Perez Family Funeral Home in Santa Paula at 12:00 PM, followed by a burial service at the Santa Paula Cemetery at 1:30 PM. A celebration of life will follow at the LifeWay Baptist Church Reception Hall, 673 W. Santa Paula St, Santa Paula.
